A floating community was developed in the course Advanced Product Design. The community was designed for the city of Luleå in Sweden. The pre-study of the project was partly conducted in Pampas Marina in Stockholm where people live in houses located directly on the water. The result of the project was a community that provides a lifestyle that takes advantage of the surrounding water. It’s equipped with a canoe rental, sauna, hot tub, floating islands with barbecue possibilities, and more. The community was visualized with rendered images and animations using Autodesk Maya.
